Complaints About My New Roommates

Hey Kels. Sorry about the incoming rant, but I’m really fed up with my roommates and I need to get some of it off my chest.

To start off, I was never actually looking for a roommate. These people just moved in one day. I was a little confused (naturally), and when I asked them what they were doing, they didn’t respond. My landlord mentioned something about the previous renter having died recently, so I guess there was a weird mistake with the paperwork or something. I tried explaining the situation to him, but he ignored me the entire time. I thought I’d finally gotten his attention when I accidentally knocked over a pencil cup, but that just seemed to confuse him for some reason. The new guys didn’t acknowledge me at all either, but by now I think that’s their “thing”.

Seriously, these people moved into my apartment without my permission, and I’m pretty sure they’ve never responded to anything I’ve ever said to them. I don’t know what made them decide to permanently give me the silent treatment, but it’s getting really upsetting. I think the only time they even referred to me by name was when they were talking about the previous renter who “died recently”. You’d think they’d at least get that paperwork fixed, right?

And as if that wasn’t bad enough, they’ve stopped letting me DO anything here. Every time I rearrange some furniture, they freak out about the chairs “moving on their own”. Maybe they just don’t like me moving stuff, but it’s not like THEIR interior designing skills are all that great. I don’t know what they did with the doors, but I preferred it when I could only go through them when they were open. They also get startled whenever I try to listen to music or watch Netflix, so I think they’re way too concerned about using power. I just find it hypocritical when they have the TV on in the background all the time, but when I want to watch a movie? Suddenly, electrical devices are “spontaneously turning on”. They’d probably even get pissed if I went so far as to prepare a decent meal for myself here. It’s a good thing I haven’t felt hungry in a really long time.

Honestly, I’m starting to feel unwelcome here. I don’t know how to get these people to leave. I’d hate to be kicked out of my own apartment like this, but I’m not sure what else to do. I’m considering moving back in with dad, but maybe that’s not a good idea right now. I haven’t talked to them in a long time, but a while ago I heard he was planning a funeral for someone.

Looking forward to your reply. Let me know what you think I shoul
